About
Walk and Talk the Peace was founded by Stan Fraser in 2016.
Since then he has led multiple mental health awareness walks in the Peace Region.
This year, he turned 65, and has made a goal of walking from Bella Coola, BC to Winnipeg, MB to promote mental health awareness. Stan and his team's goal is to reduce the stigma of mental health issues many Canadians suffer from. Please consider supporting his journey through sponsorship and promote mental health and wellness in as well as to join us along the way!
Let's walk and talk together for this amazing cause!

About Stan
Stan is a 65 year old man who has made Chetwynd, BC his home for the last 15 years. He grew up with his family in Shell Lake, SK, is a member of Mistawasis Nehiyawak and is the third oldest of thirteen children. Having struggled with alcohol addiction, Stan has worked to live a clean and sober life for over 30 years.

Stan is a loving and dedicated father, partner, friend & valued member of the community in which he resides.

He believes that the journey for people who struggle with anxiety and depression can feel lonely. Stan wants everyone to know that you do not have to walk alone in shame.
As we begin to talk more about mental illness and remove the stigma thereof that more people experiencing anxiety and/or depression can feel empowered to seek the supports they need.

Stan would enjoy the opportunity to speak in your community or have you and your family & community walk with him! Please reach out to Tansi Friendship Centre!
